How to claim a username in Discord
Found a free name? Claim it in Discord yourself. It takes under a minute, and your account stays only yours.
We never ask for your password or token
You change the name in Discord. Anyone who asks for your token, even in the name of Clmify, is trying to take your account.
Check that the name is still free
Names from drops and old hits may be taken by now. Run one more check right before you go to Discord.

Open User Settings
In the Discord app or in the browser, click the gear next to your name in the bottom left corner.

On the phone: tap your avatar in the bottom right corner, then the gear, then Account.
Press Edit next to Username
Go to My Account. Your display name, username and email are listed there. Press Edit in the username row.

Type the new name and confirm
Enter the name exactly as you checked it, then your current Discord password, and press Done.

Change your username
Enter a new username and your existing password.
UsernameYour password goes to Discord only. Clmify never sees it.
That is it
The new name works right away. Friends see it in their lists, and your old name becomes free for others.
