Acceptable use policy

Clmify helps people find a Discord username they like. These rules keep the Service fair and safe for everyone. They are part of the Terms of service.

1. What the Service is for

  • finding a free name for yourself, your community, your project or your own brand;
  • watching names you want and getting an alert when they free up;
  • learning how Discord usernames work.

2. What is not allowed

Impersonation. Do not look for or use names to pose as a real person, a creator, a company or a brand, or to mislead people about who you are.

Harassment. Do not use names to harass, threaten or target anyone, or to spread hate.

Reselling access. Do not resell, rent out or share access to the Service or to your account, and do not offer our results to others as a paid service. One account belongs to one person.

Getting around limits. Do not create several accounts to get more Free checks, avoid paid limits or receive more personal drops. Do not get around rate limits, captchas, blocks or the limit of guest checks, for example by changing IP addresses.

Automated access. Do not use bots, scripts or scrapers on our site or API, except the features we offer for that.

Harming the Service. Do not try to break into, overload, test the security of or reverse engineer the Service without our written permission. Report vulnerabilities to [security email].

Payment fraud. Do not use payment methods that are not yours, and do not open chargebacks to get the Service for free.

Breaking the law. Do not use the Service for anything illegal where you live or where we operate.

3. Discord's rules

When you claim and use a name, you are responsible for following Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. The Service does not access your Discord account, and we never ask for your password or token. If anyone asks for your token, they are trying to take your account.

4. Protected names

We keep a list of names of well-known people and brands. These names never become personal drops and never appear in the public feed. We also hide offensive names from the feed.

5. What happens when rules are broken

Depending on how serious the breach is, we may warn you, pause scans and the watchlist, remove access to personal drops, or block the account. Accounts blocked for breaking these rules do not get a refund.

If you think we made a mistake, write to [support email] and we will look at it again.

6. Reporting abuse

If you see the Service used against these rules, write to [support email].

The English version of this policy is the binding one. Versions in other languages are translations for your convenience.
